If you put yourself in the room that terrifyingly beautiful night Jesus gave his disciples the bread and wine (ref. Matthew 26.20-30), how do you think you would have responded?
With shock? Fear? Confusion? Love? And why?
Now, fast forward a little bit, through the terrible moment of his crucifixion and to the moment the news breaks, then all of a sudden you're being told that he is alive (Luke 24.1-35)!
How does that meet your heart and mind?
Lastly, imagine that in the swirl of events you recall the voice of Jesus when he said to you, and to the others right before all this went down - “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
What happens to you then?
Join us this Sunday as we explore what it means to find our purpose at the Lord's table.
