Ministries
Sunday Morning
Connect Team
Our goal is to make every person who comes through the door feel welcomed and accepted in our church home. On Sunday Mornings we extend a warm welcome to those entering, as well as hand out weekly Bulletins or a Welcome Packet to newcomers. Ushers monitor the hallway, assist newcomers with directions within the church and help people find seats in the auditorium.
Coffee Crew
In our lobby people of all ages find a safe place to mix, laugh, and chat while enjoying a shared moment with the Vineyard family and guests. Those faithful to serve here help extend the love of Jesus in this way. Our volunteers are assigned to a team for one Sunday service once per month to set up before and clean up after.
Worship
The worship team at Beaches Vineyard operates with the sole purpose of lifting up and glorifying God the Father and His Son Jesus through skillful playing and a servant’s heart. We are to be the music and melody line creating a comfortable and easy atmosphere for the congregation (the real worship team) to enter into intimate and heartfelt worship with our Lord. We have multiple teams on a weekly rotation.
Media and Sound
The media team provides the technical support for the Worship services as well as support for all other ministry events, including Powerpoint, Photoshop, videoing, etc. Sound provides the highest quality audio and recording support to the services and events hosted at the church. Our desire is to help the congregation hear and see the message clearly and to enhance the worship experience.
Children & Students
Kingdom Kids (infant – kindergarten)
We have the privilege of sharing God’s love with children during the Sunday morning services through Bible stories, prayer, praise and worship, and fun activities. In a creative, safe, and caring environment, they will learn about the love of Jesus and that He is good. Our volunteers pray that this knowledge will remain for an eternity in the hearts of the children.
Kid’s Church (elementary)
We believe that children are capable of learning and experiencing God in a real way. Our ministry seeks to connect kids to God through worship, lessons, games, fun activities, crafts, skits, and small group time during the Sunday morning services. Through these age-appropriate activities, children and leaders develop relationships that pave the way for a real relationship with Jesus.
BVCF Youth (middle and high school)
We are a collection of Middle and High school students, volunteers, and staff from BVCF that desire to grab hold of the life and love Jesus offers to us and the world. We have games, worship, and a message during the Sunday morning services. We believe our gatherings bless God’s heart and in turn transform our lives.
Young Life (high school) and Wyld Life (middle school)
The goal of Young Life and Wyld Life is to introduce Christ’s love to students who otherwise would not be exposed to such a message. In addition to meeting during the school year, winter and summer camps provide opportunities for kids to have fun in a comfortable atmosphere where they can ask questions about the Christian faith. During the school year Young Life club meets every Monday night 7 to 8:30pm and Wyld Life club, meets every Thursday afternoon 4:30 to 6pm. For more information about Young Life click here>.
Education & Counseling
Alpha
A 10-week discovery course into the Christian faith. The course is primarily designed for new Christians and non-Christians seeking answers about who Christ is. It is based on the central questions at the heart of the Christian faith. Alpha is held in a welcoming environment with a small group atmosphere, great food, and good friendships. Alpha runs every Spring and Fall and is a non-pressured way to explore the Christian faith. For more information about Alpha click here>.
Beta
The follow-up to the Alpha course, Beta is the next step for newer believers to become more aware of the basics of the Christian life. Meeting in small groups, over the course of several months, Beta is a place for graduates from the Alpha course to launch a committed and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and to build on the relationships with one another that began in the Alpha course.
Counseling
Greg and Janet McIlroy minister to individuals and couples through premarital counseling, marriage mentoring during the first year of marriage, marriage counseling, and individual counseling. Greg will meet with men and Janet will meet with women, all in need of help and guidance.
Women’s & Men’s Ministry
Women’s Ministry
We exist to provide women of all ages in our church opportunities to build close personal friendships that serve to support and encourage each other in the faith, and spur each other on to fulfill our God given destiny. We offer Bible and book studies, worship nights, and fun, food, and fellowship events. We also offer conferences and retreats.
Wednesday Prayer
We provide an opportunity to gather corporately and pray for our church, our families, our community, and the body of Christ worldwide. A group of mostly women (though men are welcome) meets on Wednesdays at 11 am. No experience is necessary, but we are looking for those who consider Beaches Vineyard to be their church home and who feel a call to intercession. All who participate are expected to treat each request with honor and discretion.
Men’s Prayer
The Men’s prayer group currently meets Tuesday mornings at 7 to 8 am in the front lobby of Beaches Vineyard. This is open to all men who wish to participate in intercession and prayer; we are committed to honor and discretion.
Missions (local and international)
Buy 1 Give 1
A BVCF program that helps feed the hungry families in our beaches community. When non-perishable food items at your grocery store are on sale for ‘buy one get one’ we ask, if possible, buy one for your family and give one for those in need. All food can be dropped off at the Atlantic Theatres on Sunday mornings or during office hours (Mon. to Thurs. 9am to 5pm).
Donner and Jordan Park
Volunteers help to keep at-risk children in our surrounding community in school (and out of trouble), while acting as role models in their lives. Getting involved as a volunteer will change your life and it’s easy to do, just come ready to care. Most volunteers work 1 to 1.5 hours a week tutoring or playing with kids.
International Missions
We are partnered with missionaries all over the world for the purpose of sharing the Good News of Jesus with all peoples. We support these missionaries both financially and via short-term teams. For more information please contact the church office by email here» or by phone at 904-246-6707.
