Shoulder To Shoulder Ministries, Inc. (S2S) is a volunteer, non-profit mission’s organization founded by Ray and Patty McConnell in 1999. It is Interdenominational in both scope and focus. In Thailand, S2S administers Sponsorship Programs for two Children Homes and Higher Educational Scholarships, provides care to poor and remote hill tribe villages through Community Development Evangelism (CDE), ministers and provides food to HIV/Aids families and displaced children at-risk. S2S believes that all facets of ministry are an attempt to be a tangible expression of God’s love. S2S has found that as the basic needs of a hurting person are touched and met, the heart softens and opens to receive the incredible life changing truth of the Gospel. This is the commitment of S2S, its Board of Directors and its volunteers. S2S also believes in the Body of Christ working together and often works alongside other ministry organizations to bring about the Kingdom of God. S2S volunteers provide pastoral care for full time mission workers in Northern Thailand, Laos, and other countries. Since missions work is both challenging and difficult, S2S provides support through encouragement, counsel, training and care.
