Residents in Duval County are launching a Ziploves donation project for Hurricane Michael Victims. What are Ziploves? Ziploves are two-gallon bags filled with age and gender specific items that are clearly labeled and ready to hand directly to hurricane victims.

We are asking that you take a 2 gallon ziplock bag and fill it with a donation. The type of donation(s) are endless but every ziplock MUST BE LABELED with specific sizes and items. All clothes must be washed, as many will not have access to washing machines!

Examples of types of Ziploves:

  • Baby Ziploves- a freshly washed baby outfit with baby toy or baby blanket and labeled “Baby Girl 6month” or “Baby Boy 12Month”

  • Female Youth Hygiene Ziploves- deodorant, feminine products, razors, brush, body wash

  • Adult Male ZipLove- include a full outfit, shirt, pants, socks, under garments and label with the sizes (Meduim shirt, size 36/32 pants)

We encourage organizations that want to participate to organize, bag, and label their own donations.

If you have any questions or need ideas for Ziploves please contact Haley Edwards (haleyvedwards@gmail.com) or Kim Greene (camkim@comcast.net).
